Cursor is an AI-based code editor and agent for developers. It differs from ordinary autocomplete: the agents are built to carry a task through on their own while the developer stays on the decisions. The product works with models from several providers, so it is not tied to one. Alongside the desktop editor there is a command-line tool, a Slack integration and the ability to review pull requests on GitHub. Cloud agents can work in parallel on long-running tasks, and automations allow always-on agents triggered by a schedule or an event. Code review is built into the product itself. Cursor is sold by subscription, with plans listed on a separate page. Cursor promocodes therefore usually attach to a first subscription, a student plan or a team plan, and are time-limited; some apply only to new accounts.
